How can I get my Social Security Benefit Verification Letter?

The Social Security Benefit Verification Letter, sometimes called an SSA letter, budget letter, benefits letter, proof of income letter, or proof of award letter, serves as proof of your retirement, disability, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or Medicare benefits.

To access it, you can visit the Social Security Administration website.  You'll be required to log in to or create your Social Security account.  Once logged in, navigate to "Replacement Documents" and click the "Benefit Verification Letter" option.
